What you need to know to register children for RSD schools

• Registration for schools in the Recovery School District is continuing weekdays at the RSD Welcome School, 2237 Poydras Street.
• Registration hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• RSD schools are open-access to students from across New Orleans, and none has admission criteria.

Here’s what you should bring to registration:

• Proof of address (a utility or phone bill will do)
• Child’s Social Security card
• Birth certificate
• Immunization record
• Most recent report card
• Individualized Education Program (IEP), if applicable

At the Welcome School, staff will provide assessments for students and placement in schools that will provide children with the best possible learning environment.
