The Louisiana Department of Education is now hiring

The state-run Recovery School District has immediate openings for the following unclassified positions. Please click on the positions below for detailed job descriptions.

If you have already submitted an online application to the RSD there is no need to reapply.


To apply for certified positions:

  1. Applicants must complete the on-line “Job Application” at www.teachlouisiana.net. You must first create an account by completing the registration form found here - http://www.teachlouisiana.net/signup.asp.
  2. Once you have created an account, login with your username and password, click Job Seekers. A link to the Online Job Application can be found on the menu on the left of the page. Complete the application and submit it to the Recovery School District.
  3. Should you experience difficulty in using the Teach Louisiana online application form, please call the recruiting office at 1-504-872-0592.

  1. Obtain a Civil Service Pre-employment Application (Form SF10)
    • Download an application by clicking on the link above
    • Pick one up at the Recovery School District Office at 1641 Poland Avenue, New Orleans, LA
  2. Complete the application.
    • Carefully read the instructions
    • Provide as much detail as possible
    • Sign and date your application before submitting
  3. Include a letter of interest and resume
